We have an urgent fight on our hands, and we need your help to make sure we win.
In September, 164 MPs turned up and supported the second reading of the International Development Bill, a piece of legislation that means that the government has to invest just 0.7% of its income on overseas aid. They turned up because we showed them that people up and down the UK care about our commitment to the world's poorest people.
On that day, we won.
On 5th December, the House of Commons will vote again on the International Development Bill. It will bring us one step closer to securing an overall victory! So we need you to contact your MP, urging them to attend. They won’t support it unless we show them that local constituents care about this issue.
Would you be willing to write a letter to your MP encouraging them to attend the Bill reading?
Thank you. Saira O'Mallie, ONE.org
