This year we make two presentations: our award for an Outstanding Contribution to Socialism to a local activist as chosen by the membership, and our award to a national figure who has championed progressive ideas. The recipient of this award is decided by the club committee and this year will go to world famous children’s author Alan Gibbons for his work in defending public libraries and fighting austerity.

Entertainment provided by Clarion Choir, poet Dave Puller and musicians TBA on what will be a memorable evening.  Admission free. Bucket collection and raffle in aid of the club refurbishment fund.
