Lisa Croft relates the story of her grandparents, a pair from opposite ends of the class spectrum united by their experiences of political struggle.

He was imprisoned as an agitator in Canada during the great depression and again under Franco in Spain as an International Brigader. She worked for the National Unemployed Workers movement in London's East End and was involved with Hunger Marches and anti fascist/ black-shirt campaigns, to name but a few.

In exploring their stories Lisa discovered some real surprises. She shares them here because their struggle then is our struggle now.
