Slight change to the itinerary this year due to a change the programme in Manchester. On previous years we have aimed to arrive by 12.30 to allow time for the various events taking place. THIS YEAR IS DIFFERENT - we will gather at 1.00pm and, after a short commemoration, proceed, in procession, to The Friends Meeting House to start work on the Peterloo Tapestry. The tapestry is 4x30 ft canvas prepared at Quarry Bank Mill upon which individuals or groups can pin relevant contributions - please go to the relevant Facebook Page for full details. http://www.peterloomassacre.org/
It would be very nice if someone/someones were to create a Bolton specific piece to attach. Any volunteers? It's probably time for us to have a Peterloo specific banner too. "Bolton Remembers Peterloo." Not much time, but any thoughts?
