An opportunity to meet the children visiting from Palestine courtesy of the National Education Union in an informal, early evening setting. Please come along and give our very special visitors a warm Bolton welcome.
Our great friend and comrade Denis Pye passed away last month. Denis was not only a central figure in the recent history of the club, he was also a lifelong member of Clarion Cycling Club and a champion of the values that defined that organisation. Denis lived his life true to the principles of justice, respect and an unflinching support for the underdog. This informal evening is dedicated to our memories of his . All welcome
The title refers to the 13th Amendment to the US Constitution, which reads "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States."
Monthly meet-up for the local poetry and spoken word group. A very informal and supportive atmosphere, and open to all. NW legends Jefferama and Gordon Zola lead proceedings.

Jules is the leader and tutor of Picturehouse Choir, Band on the Wall’s acapella open-access singing group, and a member of the Natural Voice Network. She is also part of the nationally acclaimed, Arts in Education Initiative, where she is the voice and song adviser, working with primary, secondary and advisory teachers from LEA’s in the North West. Jules also performs with acapella outfit The Love Notes who sang to great acclaim at the club last year. Tonight Jules talks about the music that has helped shaped her outlook on music, life and politics. Julia asks the questions and cues the music.
